Saabi spent his childhood observing his father compete in death races daily. He eventually became a showman himself, although not out of necessity to provide for his family. Because of his deep affection for the cycle of death, he finds himself drawn into the underworld.

In the adrenaline-fueled world of racing, where the line between life and death blurs, “Chobbar” emerges as a thrilling tale of passion, crime, and the pursuit of the ultimate rush. Directed by Maneesh Chandra Bhatt and written by the talented trio of Gurpreet Bhullar, Dheeraj Rattan, and Manila Rattan, this cinematic venture takes audiences on a heart-pounding journey into the world of a second-generation showman, Saabi, portrayed by the dynamic Sukhwinder Chahal.

A Legacy of Risk and Showmanship

Saabi’s story begins in the heart of a family deeply rooted in the racing tradition. Growing up watching his father push the boundaries of life and death on the racing track, Saabi inherits a legacy of showmanship. However, unlike his father, Saabi’s passion for the wheel of death takes a darker turn, leading him into the shadows of the criminal underworld.

Passion Turned Criminal

While Saabi’s father raced for the survival of the family, Saabi finds himself drawn to the dangerous allure of crime. The film explores the intricate web of choices that transform a passionate showman into a figure navigating the treacherous lanes of criminality. As he risks his life for the thrill of the race, Saabi becomes entangled in a world where the stakes are higher, and the consequences are dire.

Chobbar Full Movie Review

Seven weeks ago, I reviewed Garinder Sidhu’s “Criminal,” writing about how the film’s unique offering gives viewers a sense of community. Even if ‘Chobbar’ is an action-drama and not a crime-drama like ‘Criminal,’ the same conclusion may be drawn from it.

These films would initially open the path for other well-known Punjabi performers to experiment. These films would make you proud to be a cinephile of Punjabi film. These are the films that show us that progress isn’t completely stalled. It’s just that it moves at a relatively modest pace.

Chobbar Jay Randhawa Movie

Chobbar transported me back several years, not just a few weeks. I saw Sanjay Gadhvi’s ‘Dhoom’ (2004) in a theater, and I remember it very well. I won’t compare it to anything else, because it would be unjust. I was 10 years old when I first heard the booming noises of motorcycles vrooming around on celluloid, and it seemed like many of my elders had the same experience. I can’t place the year, but it was probably about then that I first heard the noises in person at a Maut Ka Kuaan competition.

Even for a 28-year-old, there was something extra wonderful about hearing those same vrooming sounds for the first time in a Punjabi film. Do you want to know what the movies Chobbar, Dhoom, and Maut Ka Kuaan all have in common? It’s the sound and sight of spectators reveling in the performance of adrenaline junkies.

Everyone involved in developing Chobbar worked hard on it, not just the lead actor Jayy Randhawa, who revived his MTV Stuntmania days. Sincerity, in its purest form, is present in Hollywood films. This is not to say that other films are not done with sincerity. Thankfully, Chobbar can do so, clearing the way for the endeavor to proceed through the first major hurdle.

When it comes to execution, the debut feature film from cinematographer-turned-director Maneesh Bhatt does not bring down the status of bike stunt scenes. In its entirety, Chobbar’s 116 minutes of running time are well spent. Thus increasing the fun factor of the action flick.

Directorial Brilliance

“Chobbar” is brought to life under the keen direction of Maneesh Chandra Bhatt, a filmmaker known for his ability to weave compelling narratives. Bhatt’s vision, coupled with the gripping storytelling skills of the writing team, creates a cinematic experience that resonates with audiences on both an emotional and visceral level.

Star-Studded Cast

The film features a stellar cast, with Sukhwinder Chahal leading the way as Saabi. Supported by Gurteg Guri and Deepak Kamboj, the ensemble brings depth and authenticity to the characters, making “Chobbar” a riveting and immersive cinematic experience.

Where to Watch “Chobbar”

As the anticipation builds for the release of “Chobbar,” viewers are eager to know where they can witness this adrenaline-pumping saga. Currently, there are no online streaming options available, but enthusiasts can keep an eye out for updates on streaming services and TV. The absence of free viewing options emphasizes the exclusivity and value of this cinematic gem.

Looking Ahead

“Chobbar” not only promises heart-stopping racing sequences but also delves into the complexities of human desires and the consequences of following one’s passion to the extreme. As Saabi races through the twists and turns of his destiny, audiences can expect a rollercoaster of emotions, suspense, and the unexpected.

“Chobbar” is more than just a racing movie; it’s a riveting exploration of the thin line between passion and crime, brought to life by a talented cast and visionary director. As the film prepares to hit the screens, buckle up for a cinematic experience that will leave you breathless and questioning the choices made in the pursuit of one’s deepest desires.

Saabi, played by Randhawa, is a versatile movie character who does everything from delivering pizza to performing stunts to robbing banks. Randhawa accomplishes this with ease, and the vastness and variety of his work leave an indelible mark. Randhawa has the support of an actor who rarely disappoints, especially when given a substantial character like Chaabi (Honey Mattu), who both spots and helps Randhawa in many of his wrongdoings in the film.

Accordingly, Drishty Talwar, making her acting debut as Pari, emerges as the film’s biggest pleasant surprise. With only a few lines of dialogue spread between two trailers, Talwar plays the role of a deceptive and dominant leader throughout the film. Talwar, who got more than just the role of the male lead’s love interest in her first Punjabi film, really made the most of her big break.

In general, the score of an action film can raise the stakes, but the title track of Chobbar deserves all the credit for doing so. The song, which was penned by Jaggi Jagowal and sung by Jordan Sandhu, has music by Showkidd and was composed by Showkidd.

KV Dhillon, who has been producing films regularly, seems to be creating his universe at Geet MP3. The cast of Dhillon’s next movie as a producer would be pretty intriguing to see, what with him having debuted Ronak Joshi in ‘Lover’ and Talwar in Chobbar within the space of just four months.
