“Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3” Movie Trailer, Release Date, Cast, and Story
After the events of Thor: Love and Thunder, Thor are in a much better place since he was able to work over his trauma with his former flame Jane Foster and because he is now the father figure of a strong young woman. Now that they have reconnected, Thor might join the “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3” in the battle against the High Evolutionary from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Thor won’t, though, perhaps because Gunn has stated that he was never intended to be in the picture.
Yet, there is a connection between the third and last movie in the trilogy and how Thor and the Guardians reunite in the MCU. Thor became quite close to the raccoon in Avengers: Endgame when Thanos’ snap erased all the Guardians save Nebula and Rocket. If Rocket Raccoon’s anticipated demise materializes, Thor might encounter the remaining characters in a funeral following Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. If not, depending on which of the cosmic heroes survive to that point, they could meet again in either Avengers: The Kang Dynasty or Avengers: Secret Wars.
